About Florida Civics Week
Founded In March 2020 by Former Haverhill, Florida City Councilman Daniel Sohn, the Florida Center for Civic Engagement began to lay the groundwork to establish the 1st Annual Florida Civics Week. Florida Civics Week was a proposed Statewide Annual Celebration of the Civics Process.

Working with governmental partners, the FCCE leads efforts to declare through resolution/ proclamation #FloridaCivicsWeek an Official Week throughout the State of Florida. Florida Civics Week takes place annually in the month of September during the week of the 17th and runs from Monday- Friday or through the 17th of that week. The week of September 17th was chosen to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17th 1787.
